Manchester United’s former manager Jose Mourinho has been linked to a sensational return to the Premier League to join Wolverhampton Wanderers.
The Portuguese managed the club between 2016 and 2018, winning the Europa League and the Carabao Cup.
He later had spells at Tottenham Hotspur and AS Roma, becoming the first manager to win the Conference League with the Italians before moving to the Turkish Süper Lig.
The Fenerbahce coach only started his job in Türkiye last summer but he has already spoken of his desire to return to a bottom half team in England, as things have not gone to plan at the Turkish giants.
The 61 year old coach sees his side sit second in the league but six points behind Galatasaray.
There have been numerous links to a return to England with Newcastle United, West Ham United and Everton having all been mentioned previously as potential destinations for the two time Champions League winning coach.
Turkish outlet As Marca report that another Premier League team have shown major interest in hiring the coach, however.
They state that “Wolverhampton have made a £5 million offer to Fenerbahçe to sign Jose Mourinho.
“Wolves, who are second to last in the Premier League, want to bring Mourinho to the team as soon as possible.”

The Black Country team have endured a terrible season so far under Gary O’Neil as they sit 19th in the table with only 9 points from 15 matches, having won just two league games all season.
Wolves have had a strong recent connection with Portuguese players and coaches, so a move for Mourinho to the West Midlands might make sense from his perspective.
Were the Premier League side to pull off a sensational swoop rapidly this month, there could be a crunch reunion between the manager and his former side, as United will travel to Molineux on Boxing Day.
