US president-elect Donald Trump said he would nominate billionaire investment banker Warren Stephens to be his ambassador to the UK, elevating a major donor to steward relations between the two countries.
Stephens is chairman and chief executive of Stephens, an investment bank based in Little Rock, Arkansas.
“Warren has always dreamed of serving the United States full time. I am thrilled that he will now have that opportunity as the top Diplomat, representing the U.S.A. to one of America’s most cherished and beloved Allies,” Trump said in a post on Truth Social.
