Possibly my least shocking political place is advocacy at no cost and open discourse. With out free speech as a bedrock precept, democracy would imply little. If we won’t, as personal residents, obtain, choose, and debate concepts and data, the choices we make on the idea of that data can not themselves be thought of "free" in any significant sense. If some central authority prevents me from discussing information-or even the potential for the existence of information-that might change individuals’s minds about that authority’s plan of action, all of our rights have been broken.
