A quick-moving fireplace in Butte County was burning quickly close to some mountain communities Wednesday evening, forcing evacuations.
The fireplace began Wednesday afternoon simply north of Chico at Bidwell Park. Wind fanned it north, the place it has burned greater than 6,000 acres, in accordance with Butte County.
