On Married At First Sight, Karla blindsides Juan Franco at the altar by asking if he’s “in love” just seconds after they meet. Allen Slovick is immediately smitten with his bride Madison Myers the minute he lays eyes on her. And Ikechi and Emem follow through on their vows without a hitch. Let’s break down the nuptials in this recap of Season 18, Episode 2 Windy City Weddings.
Married At First Sight: Karla Comes on Strong
Karla knows what she wants on her Married At First Sight wedding day. She’s surrounded by her sisters and claims she’s manifested this moment. And has a specific look in mind for hair and makeup. Karla’s sisters give her a handwritten note from her mother, Norma. She can’t be at the wedding but offers up her support and love. Karla’s dad is unable to attend as well. But it doesn’t dim her spirit and she is eager to walk down the aisle.
Juan Franco gets ready surrounded by family. He speaks to production about his journey to this point. Juan gets emotional and cries. He says he’s always done fine confronting the unknown head on. It’s finally time and the pair meet at the MAFS altar. Karla is flirty and asks Juan almost immediately if he’s in love. He seems a little taken aback. And suggests he’s hoping that the pair can fall in love. The pair seem happy, but their conversation seems a little forced. And Juan Franco doesn’t seem as smitten.
Married At First Sight: Allen Slovick Feels Like He Hit the Lottery
Allen Slovick and Madison Myers tie the knot on Married At First Sight. Allen was clearly smitten as soon as he got a glimpse of his bride. He couldn’t believe his eyes and told his bride she made his jaw drop. Madison is enthusiastic and welcomes Allen’s compliments with a hug. Her family and friends describe her as smart and funny. As well as adventurous. A story is told of Madison getting kicked out of Oktoberfest in Germany for standing on a table chugging a beer.
Allen Slovick loves the story and tells her that he loves Germany. And traveled there very recently. Allen chokes up while reading his vows. Afterward the couple enjoy getting to know each other over champagne. Allen is in awe of his new bride. He wonders how they haven’t met up to this point. Since they work in the same field. Will Madison Myers be right in suggesting they are the Married At First Sight couple no one saw coming?
Ikechi and Emem Say I Do on MAFS
Another MAFS wedding is in the books after Ikechi and Emem say I do. The pair have good chemistry. But discover even more common ground in faith and shared goals. Both are upbeat during the ceremony. They share some laughs and flirting. But discuss future issues such as whether or not Ikechi plans to return to Texas. Where he first tried to be a part of Married At First Sight. The couple agree that there wasn’t a match for him in Houston because Emem was waiting for him in Chicago.
Rounding out the Windy City Weddings are David and Michelle Tomblin. David continues a family tradition of getting married on his birthday. He is happily celebrating with some morning rounds of shots with family and friends. Michelle gets ready with her sisters and mom. Who all have many questions for David as does Michelle.
