On Married at First Sight Camille Parsons gets more than cold feet moments before walking down the aisle but ultimately says I do to Thomas McDonald. Madison Myers finds Allen Slovick‘s corny banana gift appealing. Juan Franco intimidates the other grooms with his looks and dance moves, but will it impress his match Karla? Let’s take a closer look at our new couples in this recap of Season 18, Episode 1 Chicago Hopefuls.
Married At First Sight: Camille Parsons Considers Running Away
On the season 18 premiere, Camille Parsons considers abandoning the whole idea of getting Married at First Sight. She calls it insane. Meanwhile her groom is at the altar. Her bridesmaids and family and even a producer talk her out of bolting. It’s the only actual wedding in the whole first episode. Most of the time is devoted to watching the Chicago Hopefuls tell stunned family and friends they are about to marry a stranger over mimosas and eggs Benedict.
On MAFS, Camille marries Thomas McDonald, a twin. Thomas is a bit older but eager to settle down. His twin brother also married a twin, but he says her sister was not a match for him. So, he’s turned to the experts to find one. Returning to help Chicago singles find love are Dr. Pepper Schwartz, Pastor Cal Roberson and Dr. Pia Holec. Maybe hoping to redeem themselves after the Married at First Sight Denver season of doom.
Windy City Singles Take a Chance on MAFS
The next couple in the Married At First Sight wedding queue are Madison Myers and Allen Slovick. Madison is a self-described double extra extrovert. She’s always down for a round of shots. Her match Allen is all business at work. But loves letting loose at happy hour. So, these two could definitely work. Allen sends a banana and a note suggesting she hopes she finds her gift appealing. Madison loves this and her friends agree this is the kind of corny stuff that may just make him a perfect match.
Married at First Sight prospective couple Karla and Juan Franco seem good on paper. Juan wows the guys with his dance moves and Latin flair. Free spirit Karla may be his perfect match with her Mexican heritage and adventurous attitude. Ikechi is on his second go-round with the show. He didn’t make the cut in Houston. But is hoping kismet will lead him to his perfect match in Chicago. The experts have matched him with Emem. She’s ready to find a serious partner to settle down with after establishing a career.
David and Michelle Tomblin round out the list of Married at First Sight hopefuls. David’s inspired by his parent’s long and happy marriage. Michelle is ready for marriage after being single for 6 years. He does admit he isn’t sure what his MAFS match will think after finding out he still lives at home with his mom. Let’s hope the windy city can handle the down draft of doubt, drama and lost chances at vulnerability that this new season is sure to bring. Till next time!
