Manchester United’s Premier League fixture schedule for the busy December and January period has been announced.
United’s short trip to the Etihad Stadium to take on cross-town rivals Manchester City has been handed a new date.
Erik ten Hag’s men were initially set to face the reigning English champions on Saturday, December 14 at 3 pm, but this meeting has now been moved to Sunday, December 15. Proceedings will kick off at 4.30 pm and will be televised live on Sky Sports.
The clash vs. City represents one of the eight fixture changes for United, as part of the latest crop of games to be selected for broadcast in the UK.
United kickstart their December with a home match against Sean Dyche’s Everton, already announced, before the midweek trip to Arsenal, now starting on Wednesday, December 4 and will kick off at 8.15 pm. This will be shown on Amazon Prime Video. The tussle in London was originally scheduled to take place on Tuesday, December 3.
The home game vs. Nottingham Forest on 7 December has been moved to 5.30 pm.
Regarding the festive season, United’s match against AFC Bournemouth at Old Trafford will proceed as scheduled on Saturday, December 21, with the traditional 3 pm kick-off time remaining unchanged.
Ten Hag’s side’s Boxing Day trip to Molineux to face Wolverhampton Wanders has been scheduled for a later time slot and will now get underway at 5.30 pm instead of 3.00 pm as originally planned. It will be shown live on Amazon Prime Video.
United will then close the calendar year on Monday 30 December when they take on Newcastle United at Old Trafford. This will start at 8.00 pm and will be broadcast live on Sky Sports.
The team’s first outing of 2025 is an extremely difficult one – Anfield away. This tie was originally scheduled for a 3.00 pm kick-off on Saturday, January 4 but has been shifted to occur a day later, on Sunday, January 5 at 4.30 pm. It will be broadcast on Sky Sports.
United’s first home match of 2025 against Southampton has been moved to Thursday night, January 16, at 8.00 pm, to accommodate live coverage by TNT Sports. As a result, the game against Brighton & Hove Albion has been rescheduled for Sunday, January 19. The match against Brighton will not be broadcast live on TV in the UK.
