Manchester United loanee Ethan Williams has been named in WhoScored’s latest Team of the Week following his incredible display in Cheltenham’s 3-0 victory over Newport County.
Williams was sent on loan to Cheltenham in the January transfer window in search of regular first-team minutes.
He registered a first senior assist last week and followed that up with two other goal contributions over the weekend.
The Carrington starlet registered a goal and an assist, to help Cheltenham ease past Newport at Rodney Parade. For his first senior strike, Williams scored from 30 years with a stupendous lob.
The goalkeeper tried to clear the ball outside of his box but was caught off his line after Williams won possession.
The 19-year-old made no mistake, expertly guiding it into the back of the net. The result moved Cheltenham up to 11th in League Two.
The finish was his only shot of the match.
After somewhat of a slow start at Cheltenham, it seems like Williams is now enjoying his first taste of senior football away from Old Trafford.
Cheltenham boss Michael Flynn even suggested that on current pace, Williams could be doing a job at United under Ruben Amorim.
Now, Williams has been included in the League Two of the Week.

Powered by WhoScored’s ratings, Williams was given an impressive 8.46 rating and was placed on the left side of the attacking set-up.
Williams’ professional contract with United commenced last summer and the Red Devils will certainly be pleased that he appears to have found his feet at his loan club.
Last season, the winger managed 17 goals and nine assists in academy fixtures, playing a crucial role in the Under-18 side claiming a treble.
