Manchester United are confident they can conclude a deal for Patrick Dorgu in the next 24-48 hours.
The Red Devils have badly missed a left wing-back who can adapt to Ruben Amorim’s 3-4-3 system and have spent most of the January window searching for one.
United have seemingly decided that Dorgu is the man for the job and have had two bids turned down already for the player.
The Dane is keen on the move and his family are reportedly in Lecce, pushing for a move to Manchester to happen.
The 20 time league winners are not the only team in pursuit of the Danish international as SSC Napoli and Juventus are also said to be keen on signing the defender.
Fabrizio Romano has provided United fans with some good news however as he posted on X overnight that United “feel they can get Patrick Dorgu deal agreed in 24/48 hours.”
After talks yesterday, the Red Devils are now believed to be “confident and optimistic” with a “new official bid coming soon.”

What’s more, Relevo journalist Matteo Moretto has also confirmed that United are keen to get the deal done and has provided further information on the details of the bid.
“The offer could approach €40 million in total with the inclusion of various bonuses.”
Lecce have already said no to €34 million in recent days.

Dorgu has scored three goals this season from wing-back and provided one assist for the Serie A team.
There is no doubt that the Dane would add significantly more attacking threat down United’s left hand side than Diogo Dalot or Noussair Mazraoui are currently managing.
