A person serving a jail sentence for pimping was killed by one other inmate, California corrections officers introduced.
Shawn Jackson Jr., a 21-year-old incarcerated on the California State Jail in Corcoran, died Sunday afternoon after he was allegedly crushed by one other inmate, Jarvis Richerson. The demise is being investigated as a murder.
Jackson was convicted of pimping in Orange County final 12 months and commenced serving a four-year jail sentence in September.
He had been arrested at age 19 together with two different males and charged with intercourse trafficking a younger lady and a woman beneath the age of 16, investigators stated on the time.
Richerson, 31, has served quite a few sentences for illegal possession of a weapon. He’s at present serving eight years for rape, inflicting corporal damage and assault with a firearm, the California Division of Correction and Rehabilitation stated.
