A person was fatally shot Saturday by Downey police after reportedly lighting fireworks in his yard, authorities mentioned.
The Downey Police Division mentioned it was responding to a name of a “disturbance” on Stewart and Grey Street round 6:15 p.m. ABC7-TV reported the person had gotten into an argument together with his neighbor after lighting fireworks in his yard.
The police assertion mentioned the person died on the scene and no officer was injured. The assertion didn’t point out if any weapon was discovered on the scene.
The police mentioned the California Division of Justice is dealing with the investigation into the capturing. The Division of Justice usually investigates police shootings when the sufferer didn’t have a weapon.
