One individual was killed and several other extra have been injured Wednesday night when a 48-foot energy boat crashed into the Alamitos Bay jetty in Lengthy Seaside.
The Lengthy Seaside Hearth Division responded about 9:21 p.m. and located 11 individuals on the scene, together with one man in his 50s who had died within the accident.
Six sufferers requiring superior care have been transported by Lengthy Seaside Hearth paramedics to hospitals whereas 4 others have been taken to hospitals by EMTs, mentioned Capt. Jack Crabtree of the Lengthy Seaside Hearth Division.
Crabtree mentioned the boat was believed to have been touring 40 mph when it struck the jetty.
