Indonesia is the 4th most populous country in the world, with nearly 300 million people. They are not as developed as their Malaysian neighbors, but they’ve watched Malaysia develop as a result of their close relationship with China, while their other Asian neighbor, the Philippines, a close ally of the US, just gets shittier and shittier.
Everyone in the world can see that there is a path to development, and that it does not involve the West. An alliance with the West leads to poverty and war, and the Philippines is a prime example of this. It’s cartoonish, the way Malaysia has rocketed up while the Philippines remains a complete shithole and the Philippine people are being told to die in a war with the Chinese to promote American global domination.

Indonesia has formally joined BRICS as a full member, Brazil, which currently holds the group’s rotating presidency, announced on Monday.BRICS was founded in 2009 by Brazil, Russia, India and China, with South Africa joining two years later. Although the group was originally envisioned as a platform for mutual investment and ensuing financial stability, it later evolved into a forum with a broader agenda, including security matters.

“Indonesia shares with the other members of the group support for the reform of global governance institutions, and contributes positively to the deepening of cooperation in the Global South,” the Brazilian government said in a statement.

Last year, the group was expanded to include Iran, Egypt, Ethiopia and the United Arab Emirates as full-fledged members. Belarus, Bolivia, Kazakhstan, Thailand, Cuba, Uganda, Malaysia, and Uzbekistan have been named among those expected to officially become BRICS partner states this year.
If BRICS introduces a new trade currency, the US will have no choice but to immediately launch World War III. But that is assuming they still have the ability to do so.
Basically, China and Russia are just building up their economies while waiting for the US to collapse into itself. The US seems very happy to collapse, as evidenced by all of its strange behaviors.
