Toby Collyer has returned to Manchester United training ahead of the club’s Europa League meeting with Real Sociedad on Thursday.
Collyer picked up the injury before United’s 1-0 defeat at the hands of Tottenham Hotspur last month. He was ruled out for the clash alongside Manuel Ugarte and Kobbie Mainoo.
Ugarte didn’t stay sidelined for too long, returning for the next game and even scoring as United played out a 2-2 draw with Everton at Goodison Park. Mainoo is expected to stay out for a few more weeks.
Collyer has not featured for the Red Devils since the 20-time English champions beat FCSB back in January.
The Carrington academy graduate was spotted in training today, which comes as a welcome boost to Ruben Amorim and his coaching staff.

The 21-year-old is very likely to be included in the travelling party that’ll make its way to San Sebastian later on.
Collyer is poised to claim a starting spot over veteran midfielders Casemiro and Christian Eriksen, both of whom have enjoyed increased minutes in his absence.
So far this season, Collyer has made eight first-team appearances across all competitions.
While Collyer’s return is good news for United, there is also some bad news, with Ugarte and Harry Maguire expected to miss the first leg of the round of 16 tie after they picked up “minor issues” in the wake of the FA Cup exit vs. Fulham.
To make up the numbers, a host of academy starlets including Jaydan Kamason, Jack Fletcher, Harry Amass, Jack Moorhouse and James Scanlon all took part in the first-team training session and are in line to travel to Spain.
Patrick Dorgu will be available to Amorim for selection due to the fact his three-match suspension only impacts domestic matches.
Chido Obi is not eligible to play in the Europa League, having not been included in the club’s revised squad list last month because he was not regarded as a first-team player at the time.
Sociedad vs. United kicks off at 17:45 GMT.
