A semi truck and a sedan struck and killed a horse that had been seen operating alongside a busy freeway Tuesday night in Metropolis of Trade, blocking visitors for a number of hours.
California Freeway Patrol officers responded to a name at 7:49 p.m. of a “horse operating in lanes and sluggish visitors” on the 605 Freeway, CHP Officer Ramon Kendricks mentioned.
A minute later, one other name reported a trailer had stopped subsequent to a “lifeless horse blocking one or two lanes,” he mentioned.
At 7:55 p.m., CHP officers arrived on the scene to search out that the horse had been hit by “a sedan and a semi truck,” in keeping with Hendricks.
It was unclear how the horse obtained on the freeway, maybe falling from a trailer, he mentioned, and officers proceed to research the incident.
The “horse was blocking the HOV and one lane,” and after CHP arrived “all lanes had been stopped,” he mentioned.
