Police fatally shot a person who set fireplace to a synagogue within the metropolis of Rouen in northern France, authorities stated Friday.
Inside Minister Gérald Darmanin stated in a message posted on X that the person was “neutralized,” and he praised police for his or her “responsiveness and braveness.”
