Sean “Diddy” Combs is now confronting a monumental legal battle following a grand jury indictment by the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) on September 16. The charges include racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking by force, fraud, or coercion, and transportation to engage in prostitution.
The indictment stems from an extensive investigation conducted by the Department of Homeland Security, which culminated in Diddy’s arrest in Manhattan on Monday night. He was subsequently processed at a federal facility in Lower Manhattan.
Court documents reveal shocking findings during raids at Diddy’s residences in Los Angeles, Miami, and New York. Federal agents reportedly discovered over 1,000 bottles of baby oil and lubricants, as well as three AR-15 assault rifles, during these searches.
According to the DOJ’s allegations, Diddy is accused of subjecting sex workers to violence and coercion to participate in events dubbed “freak offs.” The indictment details instances of physical abuse, including hitting, kicking, and dragging victims, leading to injuries that reportedly took days or weeks to heal.
The documentation describes a pattern of control over the victims, including monitoring their activities, dictating their appearances, and using financial manipulation and threats to ensure compliance. Notably, the investigation uncovered that Diddy allegedly recorded these encounters, using the footage to intimidate the victims further.
Reports indicate that after these parties, Diddy’s team would arrange for cleanup and provide medical assistance, including administering IV fluids to some sex workers, highlighting the extreme conditions in which these events allegedly occurred.
