At this point, I have serious doubts about Trump’s chances to win the election. I think that his lousy performance in the debate with Harris hurt him pretty badly, as that was probably his best chance to reach the low-information voters who give only casual attention to politics. To them, he probably looked like an old cranky idiot, while Harris came off looking polished and presidential. The low-info viewer didn’t know that everything she said was carefully rehearsed bullshit.
If Trump loses, the world will pay a heavy price. I am convinced that he is the best hope—perhaps the only hope—to end the ever-escalating war in Ukraine anytime soon. I believe that he will stop Zelensky’s gravy train and force a negotiated settlement on Ukraine that will recognize the reality of Russia’s military progress on the ground and the legitimacy of Russia’s security concerns. Harris, by contrast, will continue Biden’s determined drive to wage World War III.
Trump has made only vague statements about his intentions regarding Ukraine, but I think they are sufficient to conclude that he would find a way to end the war quickly. His new use of Robert Kennedy Jr as some kind of advisor is encouraging on this matter, because Kennedy has frequently displayed a detailed and accurate understanding of the causes of the Ukraine war and of the wisdom of addressing Russia’s interests.
Both Kennedy and Trump continue to display only ignorance and the standard Zionist perspective about the situation in Gaza, but that’s a different story. Right now, the situation in Ukraine has a greater chance of spinning totally out of control. Thus, that is the geopolitical area that demands the greater amount of attention, in my opinion. (Harris occasionally mouths a bit of pro-Palestinian rhetoric, but, as with everything else she says, no serious person believes it, especially considering the fact that she has been part of Biden’s genocidal policies in Gaza.)
Somebody thinks Trump can win
Despite Harris’s probable electoral advantage, perhaps Trump could still win. There is always the chance, I guess. The election results might come down to which side has the greater turnout. If enough enthusiastic and pissed-off Trump supporters turn out to vote, they might put him beyond the margin of fraud that the Dems can be expected to exploit. We shall see in just a few weeks.
The ruling terrorist regime in Ukraine and the warmongering Deep State in the U.S. apparently believe that Trump still has a chance to win. How do we know this? Because it looks like they just tried to assassinate him on his golf course in Florida. The would-be killer, Ryan Wesley Routh, is a Trump-hating rabid supporter of Ukraine with known ties to the Ukrainian regime, as Grayzone editor-in-chief Max Blumenthal is documenting nicely on his X page. It takes no great leap of logic to connect the dots between Kiev, Washington, and West Palm Beach.
Routh’s ties to Ukraine
Routh has been actively involved with Ukraine’s International Legion [described as “a haven for assorted mercenaries, kooks, fascist activists and even wanted murderers”], and he authored a book about his radical political and pro-war views. As Blumenthal writes, “Routh says he’d like to see Putin assassinated, seems to hope for Trump’s assassination as well, and calls for the US to ‘instigate’ a nuclear war with Russia. Stating he’s neither a Democrat or Republican, Routh’s clearly articulated mindset toward Russia mirrors that of Beltway hardliners. He offers gushing admiration for Juan Guaido, the Free Syrian Army, Myanmar rebels, and other CIA backed forces, while hinting at a friendship with MSNBC natsec hack and fellow International Brigade member Malcolm Nance.”
A Blumenthal article on The Grayzone goes into some detail about Routh’s Ukrainian connections. Max writes, “Back in 2022, Routh reportedly traveled to Ukraine to recruit for the International Legion. According to Newsweek Romania, which interviewed Routh in 2022, the American resident of Hawaii hoped to fight as a volunteer alongside the Ukrainian army, but was too old at age 56. ‘So plan B,’ Routh said, ‘was to come to Kiev and promote the idea of many others coming to join the International Legion. We need thousands of people here to fight alongside Ukrainians. There are about 190 countries on our planet, and if the governments are not officially sending soldiers here, then we civilians should pick up this torch and make it happen.’”
The article continues, “Routh’s Twitter timeline [before it disappeared] is filled with scores of tweets volunteering his direct assistance to the war in Ukraine, cheerleading the war against Russia, and attacking opponents of military aid to Kiev such as Tulsi Gabbard.” In one tweet from March 2022, Routh posted, “I AM WILLING TO FLY TO KRAKOW AND GO TO THE BORDER OF UKRAINE TO VOLUNTEER AND FIGHT AND DIE—Will I be able to cross to border to fight without a Visa?? Every citizen around the globe should be running to Ukraine to fight; Can I be the example We must win.”
Blumenthal’s article goes on, “Semafor described Routh as the head of the International Volunteer Center in Ukraine. . . .Routh also appeared in a March 25, 2023 New York Times feature about ‘The U.S. volunteers in Ukraine who lie, waste and bicker.’ . . . According to the Times, Routh planned to move volunteers ‘in some cases illegally, from Pakistan and Iran to Ukraine. He said dozens had expressed interest. . . .’”
The scrubbing begins
Of course, Routh’s ties to Ukraine are likely to be minimized in any upcoming trial. His shady background is already being hidden from the public. Blumenthal notes, “The Azov Brigade was officially certified by the Blinken State Dept to receive US weapons in June of this year. The same media that painted this neo-Nazi unit as heroic ‘defenders’ is about to sweep Routh’s background under the rug and brand us all as conspiracy theorists.”
Blumenthal adds this X post: “Facebook and Elon’s Twitter/X nuked Ryan Routh’s account—or were ordered to by national security state officials. Posts like this, and Routh’s whole history rustling up fighters and support for the Ukraine proxy war, are now gone.” Displayed with the post is a screenshot showing photos of Routh in Washington and Kiev with the wannabe assassin’s comment, “In DC and Kyiv to provide soldiers for the war effort.” And Blumenthal directed another post right at Elon Musk: “Why did you suspend Ryan Routh’s account and which national security agency compelled you to do so? Also, did you have access to his DM’s?”
Before Meta “scrubbed” Routh’s Facebook page, an X user named Jake Jackson captured images of the fanatic’s postings. The images reveal some of Routh’s warmongering activities in support of Ukraine.
Hired by Ukraine?
Is Routh just a Ukraine fanatic who acted independently in targeting Trump, or was he actually hired by Ukraine to do the job? Either possibility might be true, I suppose, but just as Oswald surely did not act alone, nor, probably, did Routh. You can be sure that Russian officials are aware of the possible direct involvement of Ukraine. Former Russian president and current deputy chair of Russia’s Security Council Dmitry Medvedev posted on X, “I wonder what would happen if it turned out that the failed new Trump shooter Routh, who recruited mercenaries for the Ukrainian army, was himself hired by the neo-nazi regime in Kiev for this assassination attempt?”
What would happen? I don’t know, but we’re already on the brink of WWIII, and Biden-Harris seem hell-bent on escalating the war in Ukraine until it all finally blows up. They give absolutely no indication that they understand or accept the reality that they have fucked up, that Russia is methodically advancing to victory, and that Ukraine has been destroyed because of their stupid policies. Thus, they are likely to keep on pressing ahead with their delusional policies until the reality of the situation may finally sink in and they feel compelled to launch their nukes out of desperation—or until Putin’s patience with the American/NATO delusions and threats runs out and he launches his nukes to try to put an absolute end to the threats and give the U.S. and Europe a hard dose of reality.
We are closer to nuclear war now than we have ever been before. So, even if it turns out that a Ukrainian agent tried to kill the former, and perhaps future, president, it is hard to see how that knowledge would make things any more dangerous or precarious than they already are. But perhaps the knowledge would turn more Americans away from supporting the senseless war.
This election does matter
I know that many people have grown extremely cynical about the hopelessness and corruption of American politics and of the American Empire. I’m one of them. Nevertheless, the global geopolitical situation has become so dangerous because of the reckless warmongering of the Biden-Harris regime, that I believe we need to give Trump a chance at fixing at least one of the worst hotspots. The Australian writer Caitlin Johnstone, whom I greatly admire, wrote a cynical post on X opining, “If you vote for Harris or Trump, you should at least have the decency to feel gross about it. I don’t care who Americans vote for in November, or if they vote at all. In order to care I’d have to believe US presidential elections matter. But they don’t matter. No matter who wins, the empire wins. No matter who loses, the world loses.”
I posted this brief reply on my X page: “If all Trump does is end the stupid war in Ukraine, that alone is worth voting for him. He will end that war. Harris will escalate it to WWIII. That’s obviously an important difference.” The post has garnered a few likes.
Trump has survived two assassination attempts under suspicious circumstances in the past couple months. There may be additional attempts before the election, especially if the Dems are privately really not as confident in their vacuous “campaign of joy” as they publically indicate. And the attempts to kill Trump are coming on top of the parallel attempts to imprison him, not to mention the endless media propaganda attacks on him.
For those who remain cynical about Trump, think of this: If the Deep State globalist warmongering swamp forces of evil hate Trump this much, they must really perceive him as a serious threat to their established order. That should be reason enough for anybody to vote for the man.
