Days of our Lives legend Wayne Northrop, the original Roman Brady, passed away last week. And today, we look at his life, legacy and touching tribute from co-stars from DOOL and his wife Lynn Herring’s co-stars at General Hospital.
Lynn shared the news that she’d lost her dear husband Wayne. He passed away Wednesday, Nov 27, 2024, at the age of 77. At the time he died, Wayne Northrop was in the care of the Motion Picture and Television Home.
His wife revealed that back in 2018, six years ago, Wayne was diagnosed with early-onset Alzheimer’s. And it was complications of the illness that took his life. Lynn said, “Wayne took his last breath in the arms of his family”.
Wayne Northrop played Roman Brady from 1981 through 1984 on Days of our Lives. Then, he came back to the role of Roman from 1991 to 1994. In addition to DOOL, Wayne starred on-screen with his wife Lynn Herring on her soap’s spinoff.
