While Biden refrained from naming specific individuals, such as President-elect Donald Trump or tech moguls like Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg, he highlighted the risks of consolidating political and technological power.Drawing a parallel to President Dwight D. Eisenhower’s 1961 warning about the military-industrial complex, Biden warned of a modern “tech-industrial complex” that could threaten the country.
“Six decades later, I’m equally concerned about the potential rise of a tech-industrial complex. It could pose real dangers for our country as well,” Biden said.
Well, the MIC issue was never solved, so I don’t know what the point of this warning is.
Biden himself was the ultimate servant of the MIC, pushing completely ridiculous wars in both Eastern Europe and the Middle East, giving away infinity free bombs to any Jew who requested them.
The president also claimed that democratic institutions in the United States are being eroded by insufficient “fact-checking” and the spread of “misinformation” and “disinformation.”“Americans are being buried under an avalanche of misinformation and disinformation, enabling the abuse of power. The free press is crumbling. Social media is giving up on fact-checking. The truth is smothered by lies told for power and for profit,” he stated.
At this point, it would be really ridiculous to have to point out that “fact checking” is the threat to the free press.
So I won’t bother to point that out.
“We must hold the social platforms accountable to protect our children, our families and our very democracy from the abuse of power,” he added.The 82-year-old president, who has spent over half of his life in politics, also called for political ethics, campaign financing reforms and other policy “safeguards” to protect Americans from abuses of power by politicians who will come after him.
“We need to get dark money – that’s that hidden funding behind too many campaign contributions – out of our politics,” Biden said. “We need to ban members of Congress from trading stock while they’re in Congress.”

I like Mark Zuckerberg a lot better than Elon Musk, obviously, but that isn’t really saying anything, as the only person on earth I dislike more than Elon Musk is Moist Critical. I like Joe Biden more than I like Elon Musk. Joe Biden at least never pretended to be a pro-level gamer. He probably faked that Corn Pop story, but it is more believable than Elon’s PoE2 stream.
The tech overlords could easily be populist and support the people, however there is no reason for them to do that, since they can view the current elite not doing that and see that Americans will tolerate literally anything so there is no reason to even throw them a bone.
The tech people do appear to be against “woke,” but all of this “culture war” bullshit is completely meaningless anyway. It’s literally the most retarded bullshit ever, a completely manufactured distraction. If the tech oligarchs are as brutal as the exiting series of oligarchs, they’ll need their own distractions, but they will probably opt for a fake alien invasion. To be fair, that would be a lot more fun than endless discussion of tranny bathrooms and the sanctity of women’s sports.
If you want to understand the agenda of the tech oligarchs, you can just listen to the All-In podcast. I think it’s a good podcast, and frankly I agree with a lot of it, but these people do want to replace you with Indians, and they’re committed to it, which pretty much snuffs out anything good that might come from the ascension of a new ruling elite taking over the government.
Frankly, I’m on Team Panda, and I don’t really see anything that could change my position on that.
