Manchester United forward Amad Diallo has seemingly extended an olive branch to teammate Rasmus Hojlund, following their row in the aftermath of the club’s Europa League victory against Viktoria Plzen.
United beat Plzen 2-1 on Thursday to move to fifth place in the Europa League standings.
The Czech First League outfit broke the deadlock moments after the break courtesy of Matej Vydra, who took full advantage of a big mistake from Andre Onana.
In desperate need of some attacking inspiration, Ruben Amorim turned to his bench and brought on Hojlund in place of Marcus Rashford.
The Dane grabbed a sensational brace – including a late winner – to secure the victory for United and clinch all three points.
After the full-time whistle, Hojlund was spotted by cameras in a confrontation with Amad. The two were arguing because of their failure to pass to each other during the dying embers of the match when United fashioned some very good goalscoring opportunities in transition.
As Diallo approached Hojlund, the United n.o 9 appeared to push the Ivorian away, before ignoring him.
They then temporarily bickered before being separated.
When asked about the incident in his presser, Amorim was quick to play down any suggestions of a rift between the two players.
In fact, Amorim described it as “perfect”, indicating that it proved they really care about the team and the result.
Amad now seems to have confirmed that everything has been resolved, and whatever transpired is firmly in the past.
The 22-year-old took to Instagram and shared a photo of himself and Hojlund about to shake hands.
Diallo tagged Hojlund and added the love heart emoji and fingers crossed emoji
United are back in action on Sunday when they take on Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City at the Etihad.
