Agents Lisa Jones and Dave Simon recently descended upon Atlantic City, NJ, on March 23, 2024, to scout fresh comedic talent for their comedy division.
The invitation extended by The Laff House and Kenan Presents drew over 22 prospective comedians to showcase their comedic prowess at the esteemed Kenan Presents VIP Access Comedy event. Taking place at The Laff House Comedy Club in Atlantic City, NJ, the event witnessed an array of comedic styles and personas, captivating the audience from 8 pm to 11 pm.
Each comedian was given a set time of 4 minutes to impress the discerning talent scouts and a stacked audience. The stakes were high, as the chosen few would earn the opportunity to perform at the prestigious Jimmy Kimmel Comedy Club in Las Vegas. Additionally, they would have the privilege to meet with industry stalwarts Kenan Thompson and Cherie Chiles-Buchanan, renowned for their contributions to the iconic Saturday Night Live (SNL).
Lisa Jones and Dave Simon, representing VH2 Talent Agency, were thoroughly impressed by the diverse pool of talent on display. “They had comedians come from all over the world to participate in the show, and we have our select few that we are planning on vetting,” shared Lisa Jones. Dave Simon added, “The trip was well worth it. Every time I get to see new upcoming comedians perform, it opens the door to possibilities.”
Among the standout performers, VH2 Talent Agency identified three comedians who rose to the top:
- Comedian Daryll Triplett, known by his stage name Officer Keep It Real.
- Comedian Talia Reese.
- Comedian Terrance Thomas.
