Federal brokers have raided houses linked to an Orange County supervisor’s daughter and the president of an area nonprofit that county attorneys allege had been improperly bought with taxpayer cash.
The houses searched Thursday morning had been linked to allegations made towards Viet America Society, a nonprofit group that Orange County contracted with to feed the aged and needy through the pandemic, an FBI spokesperson confirmed.
The spokesperson stated he couldn’t verify further particulars of the search, together with the variety of places concerned within the investigation, as a result of the search warrants had been filed underneath seal.
Thursday’s searches got here after Orange County filed lawsuits towards Viet America Society and its executives, together with the daughter of Orange County Supervisor Andrew Do, who labored with the group.
