A brand new indictment accuses a former correctional officer at a now-shuttered federal ladies’s jail in California dubbed the “rape membership” of abusing extra feminine inmates.
A federal grand jury issued a superseding indictment Thursday charging Darrell Wayne Smith with 15 counts of sexual abuse, together with a civil rights violation, towards 5 ladies who have been incarcerated on the Federal Correctional Establishment in Dublin, Calif., within the East Bay.
