Los Angeles police fatally shot a girl who they are saying was threatening members of the family with a knife and refused to give up the weapon, authorities stated Saturday.
Officers responded to a name about 12:35 a.m. within the 9400 block of Van Nuys Boulevard in Panorama Metropolis, police stated. The unidentified suspect, described solely as being in her 20s, was wielding a knife and threatening members of the family, police stated.
When officers arrived on the scene, they instructed the lady to drop the knife and give up, however she didn’t comply, police stated. “Throughout that encounter, an officer-involved taking pictures occurred [and] a taser was additionally deployed,” LAPD acknowledged on X, previously generally known as Twitter.
The lady was taken into custody and transported to a close-by hospital, the place she died, police stated.
