Three cops had been injured in a chaotic pursuit of a stolen Los Angeles Division of Water and Energy automobile Wednesday that ended with an hours-long standoff in Atwater Village after police shot the motive force.
After officers responded about 6:30 p.m. to a report of an assault with a lethal weapon in Pacoima, a person within the stolen SUV led officers on a chase on the southbound 5 Freeway and tried to ram into police autos and different drivers, KTLA-TV Channel 5 reported, citing authorities.
The motive force exited the freeway and traveled to a car parking zone on Colorado Boulevard, the place he rammed the automobile into the doorways of two police cruisers, KTLA reported.
