JERUSALEM — Israel’s authorities moved Sunday to close down the Al Jazeera Media Community’s operations in Israel, clamping down on one of many few worldwide broadcasters offering largely uninterrupted protection of the Gaza warfare.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated the choice adopted a unanimous vote by Israel’s warfare cupboard, posting on X that “the incitement channel Al Jazeera shall be closed in Israel.” In a separate assertion, he accused Al Jazeera correspondents of getting “harmed the safety of Israel” and stated “the time has come to eject Hamas’s mouthpiece from our nation.”
