A bloodied spear was discovered on the scene of a double murder and tried suicide in Santa Ana, although it was not clear whether or not the weapon was used within the assaults, police mentioned Friday.
The chaotic and grotesque scene unfolded Thursday round 4:30 p.m. within the 1200 block of East Chestnut Avenue, in line with police. A lady known as police and knowledgeable them that she and her uncle had been stabbed, mentioned Natalie Garcia, a spokeswoman for the Santa Ana Police Division.
When police arrived, they discovered the lady and her uncle lifeless inside a storage facility together with an injured man who authorities say is the suspect within the killings. He was taken to a hospital in vital situation, police mentioned.
Neither the victims nor the suspect, all of whom police say have been adults, has been recognized.
Garcia mentioned the injured man had been courting the lady who was discovered lifeless. She had been fatally shot within the higher torso, and her uncle died from stab wounds, police mentioned.
Authorities are investigating the case as a double homicide and tried suicide, saying the person shot himself.
Though a bloody spear was discovered close to the crime scene, police couldn’t verify whether or not it was used within the killings, Garcia mentioned.
“It was a really grotesque scene, due to this fact we don’t know what was proof of the crime and what was not,” she mentioned in an interview with The Instances.
