Chris Evans, who’s greatest recognized for his function as Captain America throughout the franchise, regularly gushes about his bond along with his canine, Dodger.
“It’s a much more embarrassing story that I now get to clarify each time somebody asks,” the Massachusetts native revealed about how he named the canine throughout an October 2020 look on Jimmy Kimmel Dwell! “There’s a film referred to as Oliver & Firm, it’s a Disney film, an animated film, that I grew up watching. Billy Joel is the voice of Dodger and once I first noticed him within the shelter, I stated, ‘He seems to be like Dodger from Oliver & Firm. And after I made a decision I used to be taking him dwelling with me, I went by way of the method of pondering of different names, and I simply couldn’t get off Dodger. So, I stated, ‘Nicely, I’m not going to overthink this one.’”
Evans, who initially met his pup whereas filming 2017’s Gifted, didn’t waste a lot time earlier than tattooing Dodger’s title on his chest — ink he’ll “by no means” remorse. He informed Jimmy Kimmel on the time, “That’s most likely the purest relationship I’ve!”
