Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu expressed alarm that the USA was contemplating imposing sanctions on an Israel Protection Forces unit, describing it because the “top of absurdity” at a time when his troops had been combating in opposition to Hamas in Gaza. He was responding to a report by Axios that U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken is predicted to announce sanctions in opposition to Netzah Yehuda, an ultra-Orthodox army unit accused of human rights violations within the occupied West Financial institution. Israeli opposition chief Benny Gantz instructed Blinken in a name that the transfer would “hurt Israel’s worldwide legitimacy.”
